Scouting Report

7/27/22

Physical: Imposing 6-foot-2, 185lb stature with natural athleticism. 6.72 runner in the 60.

Offensively: RHH. Rhythmic, even stance, just outside shoulder-width. Planted a short lift-and-replace stride early, initiating the swing through a slightly uphill path into the hitting zone. Some rotational parts, but able to accelerate the barrel for a T89 mph exit velocity and 320 foot distance. Consistent effort towards the pull-side of the field while recording a high sweet-spot rate (88%) and looking to do damage.

Defensively: The primary outfielder projects as a middle of the field defender with ball-skills in space and advanced tempo over the front side. Maintained a taller posture, fielding off his left and reaching back for an 86 mph arm-strength from a H ¾ slot.

6/14/22

Physical: Projectable, athletic 6-foot-2, 185lb frame. 6.73 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: RHH. Upright, even stance, as the hands operated in rhythm by the shoulder. Utilized a short lift and replace stride to initiate the swing through a slight uphill, lifted path into the hitting zone. Two-handed finish on the backside, which allowed for some extension through the ball to the LCF gap during his round. Middle of the order skill set with bat-speed to match. Extra-base hit approach to the pull-side up to T96 mph exit velocity.

Defensively: The outfielder could handle any of the three positions defensively with advanced footwork and clean reads off the bat. A loose glove-hand works low to the ground, funneling to a H ¾ slot with 87 mph arm-strength positionally.

6/15/21

Physical: Athletic, proportional 6-foot, 180lb frame with strength found in the actions. 6.97 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: RHH - Balanced, slightly wide start at shoulder-width as the knees were bent in the stance. Utilized a short lift and replace stride connecting to the ground early with a subtle hand movement at the shoulder to stretch. Entered the hitting zone through a flat path with above-average barrel awareness during batting practice. Was able to match pitch-plane, working down the sequence correctly and delivering with extension at the front of the plate. Stayed inside the legs and didn’t try to do too much, producing a T92 mph bat-exit velocity via Trackman. Able to hit for doubles power to the LCF gap, posting a 310 foot batted ball distance at his peak.

Defensively: The primary outfielder demonstrated good posture and pace to his round. Read the ball off the bat, making early decisions and using crisp routes to field softly off the inside/outside of his left foot. Used a shorter crow hop, exchanging cleanly at the waist before delivering from H ¾ slot (accuracy, 83 mph arm, carry). Possible CF/LF projection as he continues refinement, though already mature in all phases.
