2/19/23

 

Physical: 6-foot-3, 200 pounds; Long, slight build. 7.31 runner in the 60.

Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; bat positioned at a 45 degree angle. Lifts hands with a slight leg-kick for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing a strong lower half. Showed a downward swing path with a late one hand finish.  More groundballs than line drives and flyballs with a peak exit velocity of 96 MPH via Trackman. Displayed a high bat speed with good coverage of the inner half of the plate.

Defensively: Starts with a low to the ground setup; uses prep hop while utilizing a quick first step. Hands are out in front with a delay in transfer. Short take back from a standard 3/4 arm slot.   INF - 80 MPH.

Physical: 6-foot-3, 200 pounds; Long, slender build. 7.38 runner in the 60.

Offensively: RHH. Open setup, with feet shoulder width apart; has a pre-pitch bat waggle. Short take back with the hands with a moderate leg kick for timing. Drifts into contact while showing a strong lower half. Showed a short swing path with a a finish around the back.  More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 92 MPH via Trackman. Plus hand speed from this short swing. Could benefit from some increased time matching pitch plane.

Defensively: Starts with a low to the ground setup; uses prep hop while playing low to the ground. Hands work through the ball while funneling to the hip before transfer. Moderate arm circle from a high 3/4 arm slot. INF - 80 MPH. 

 

2/13/22

 

Physical: 6-foot-3, 200 pounds; Broad shouldered, proportional build. 7.5 runner in the 60.

Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet narrow; has a pre-pitch bat waggle. Short take back with the hands with a moderate leg kick for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing a strong lower half. Showed a compact swing path with a late one hand finish. More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 94 MPH via Trackman.

Defensively: Starts with a low to the ground setup; uses prep step while showing active feet. Hands are out in front with a seamless transfer. Moderate arm circle from a standard 3/4 arm slot. INF - 79 MPH.
