Uncommitted Spotlight: 2023 JD Hay

Rocco Iervasi
PBR Florida Director of Operations/Area Scout

This spring we will be highlighting players throughout the state with Uncommitted Spotlights. We will highlight one 2022, 2023, and 2024 player each week looking for a school to call home. The state of Florida is full of uncommitted players who have the talent to play at the next level. These players deserve as much exposure as they can get in order to help them find the right home.

Today, we will highlight 2023 JD Hay. Hay is a 6-foot-1, 190 pound SS/RHP from the Bolles School in Jacksonville, FL. Outside of high school, JD plays travel ball for Florida Prime Dodgers Scout Team. JD is a true two-way with above average tools on both sides. Fastball in the upper 80's with natural sinking action. Has loose hands in the box offensively and shows ability to drive the gaps. JD was a member of Team Florida at the 2022 PBR Future Games where he stood out as MVP of Game 2.
