Scouting Report

6/30/21

Physical: Highly-athletic, well put together 6-foot, 180lb frame with projection left. 6.95 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: RHH - Upright, balanced stance with loose hands operating in rhythm at ear height. Utilized a directional lift and replace stride to a wider attack, launching through an accurate rotational, flat path into the hitting zone. Some of the better bat to ball skills seen at the NY State Games (72% on-plane via Blast Motion) with minimal swing/miss traits in-game action. Loud contact when getting extended to pull, notching a T94 mph bat-exit velocity at his peak. Good rotational scores allowed for consistent doubles juice to the LCF gap (352 foot batted ball).

Defensively: The primary outfielder played behind the ball with above-average feel; up-tempo type feet and approached with rhythm right-left, right-left before fielding cleanly. Accurate, longer H ¾ slot with carry on 82 mph throws; able to handle any of the three OF positions.

2/16/21

Physical: Strong, 6-foot, 180 lb build with athleticism in the actions.

Offensively: Balanced stance with feet even and some bend in the knees while the hands start relaxed up over the back shoulder; knee knock stride with good rhythm and quiet hands; aggressive lower half generating a quick swing that gets on plane early and stays through the zone with +bat speed; impressive round with pop through the middle and pull side. peak exit velo 95 MPH per Trackman

Defensively: Athletic footwork playing downhill through the ball into strong, accurate throws from a loose, 3/4 arm slot. OF: 84 MPH

9/11/20

Physical: 6-foot-0, 175 pounds; long, lanky frame with twitchy actions. 7.31 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Narrow stance with back hip internally rotated to help load the back side; Small weight shift to the back side, hovers the front foot in the air and strides out past shoulder width. Active lower half with a quick turn, comes off back foot throughout the swing indicating he is shifting his weight properly with downhill swing, keeps his hands tight to his body maintaining a fast turn in the torso. Roped the ball down the pull side line while still showing the ability to stay on the ball and drive it effectively the other way; peak Trackman exit velocity of 92 MPH.
Defensively: Athletic bend in the knees, feet shoulder width apart; tracks the ball well and gets behind it to gain momentum into his throw with good direction. Fields the ball on the glove side foot with a good transfer to throw; long arm swing with good downhill speed in his throw with a 3/4 slot. OF - 83 MPH.

7/06/20

Physical: Lean, athletic 5-foot-11, 170-pound frame with some twitch present in the movements. 7.19 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: RHH. Tall, even stance with not much going on pre load; hands start out in front of the shoulder and move slightly backward with stretch upon load coupled with a quick lift and replace stride to connect to the ground early. Demonstrated advanced feel for the barrel and an adjustable lower half creating quality hip shoulder separation in the swing and noticeable barrel speed into the hitting zone. The barrel worked on a slightly uphill path projecting plenty of extra base hit prowess down the line and should slot him in as a top of the order hitter into a collegiate lineup. Hit into a stiff front side while recording a 95 mph bat-exit velocity per Trackman Baseball during batting practice.

Defensively: Showed off an understanding of beating the ball to the spot while staying behind  it, consistently letting quick and powerful lower half create momentum towards the target. Fielded the ball out in front with a soft but aggressive glove hand allowing for consistent glove accuracy and smooth transfers created quick catch and throw skills. Arm played accurately towards the target out of a loose, high ¾ slot. OF - 83 mph

2/21/20

Physical: 6-0, 175-pounds. Strong, athletic build. 7.06 runner in the 60; 4.38 home-to-1B.
Offensively: RHH. Bends knees and keeps low, stays equal with the plate, quick step to the ball, keeps hands level with chin. Uses pull side, strong swing through the zone, generates power to all parts of field. Shows power in swing with most it to the pull side. 81 MPH raw exit velocity.
Defensively: Keeps eyes locked on the ball the whole way, consistent footwork when approaching the ball. Strong over the top arm slot.   OF - 83 MPH.
