6-foot-2, 200-pound projectable frame. He performed well in the 60-yard dash, clocking a speedy time of 6.72. At the plate, the right-handed hitter showed his power in the box with a strong exit velocity of 92 mph. Sets up in a wide stance and used a leg kick. Displayed explosive bat speed and an uphill swing plane, he ended his swing with high finish. Created some loud contact during his round. In the outfield, his best throw of the day was clocked at 82 mph; has soft hands and quick footwork. Used a high ¾ slot with long arm action. On the mound, he threw from a high ¾ angle and had quick arm speed. Has a consistent balance point with even shoulders. Curveball (70-72 mph) had the most depth when he located it down by the hitter’s knees. Successfully located his changeup (75-77 mph) for a strike. Produced a fastball that came in at 86-87 mph and topped out at 87 mph; had tailing action. Lender was one of the top prospects coming out of this event.
