Uncommitted Spotlight: 2021 RHP Spencer Dessart (Bronxville)

Physical: Lean, athletic build at 6-foot, 160 pounds with room to add size and strength.

Pitching: Starts with a side step bringing the hands over the head for timing and rhythm as he builds momentum well into a tall stack before getting into back side as drives out in line finishing with intent through a repeatable release and follow through. The arm action is long and fluid through a high 3/4 release. Commands a heavy FB (86-87 mph) in the zone with a max spin of 2155 rpm and a max Bauer unit of 24 with horizontal arm side run up to 13" which gives it a pitch profile to play down in the zone but it did flash the ability to elevate out of the zone with a vertical ride that peaked at 19.6". Displayed good feel for a sharp slider (73-74 mph) with 10-4 shape that had a max spin of 2179 rpm, max vertical drop of 8.9" and max horizontal break of 7.6". Throws the Changeup (75-76 mph) good hand speed at a slightly lower release point with arm side fade up to 14.8".
