Uncommitted Spotlight: 2021 RHP Mario Marsillo (St. Joseph By the Sea)

 

Physical: 5-foot-9, 160 pounds; broad shouldered, strong lower half.
Pitching: Fast pace to the delivery wasting no time getting down the slope, uses his lower half well. 3/4 arm action with hand speed through the ball, having a positive effect on all the pitches he throws. FB: T 83MPH, 80-83 MPH. Throws a FB with average spin that would be best thrown at the knees, which he proved to have no issue doing. CB: 60-62 MPH. Throws a sharp breaking ball that is deceiving due to the fact that he throws it with the same arm speed as his FB. 

 

 

Physical: Lean and athletic 5-foot-9, 160-pound frame with advanced feel for his body and a stocky, compact build. 

Pitching: RHP - Quick pace in the delivery, side rocker step with a medium leg lift close to the body, intent in the drive towards the plate while sitting into the backside on the land, quick arm through a high ¾ slot and throws each pitch with an attitude. The FB ranged from 80-81 T82 mph with high spin (2248 RPM) per Trackman Baseball. Mixed in a 61-63 mph CB with 1940 spin and 11/5 shape across the plate. Countered with a 73-75 mph CH with near fastball arm-speed creating deception at the plate.
