Uncommitted Spotlight: '20 Vance Serrano

A two-way prospect who continued to prove himself on the mound, Serrano was off to an hot start prior to the season being suspended. The Faith Lutheran product announced his presence the Crusaders Scout Day earlier this year with his abilities in the field as well as on the mound as he was looking to play a key roll in their journey towards a deep playoff run. On the mound is where shined this year allowing zero runs in 7.0 innings of work, giving up only four hits while striking out six. A low 80's guy, he shows comfort with his curveball that sits 66-68 mph and has continued to gain feel for his changeup that lived in the low 70's at 72-73 mph.

Positional Profile: RHP/IF. Projectable, relief arm at the next level
Body: 6-foot-1, 165-pounds. Athletic, proportionate frame with a Lean, wirey build. 
Defense: Clean actions, midsection transfer with into accurate throw. Corner infielder type 
Arm: RH. IF - 79 mph. Arm is loose and quick, high ¾ slot, accurate.
Hit: RHH. Open, tall setup. Rhythmic load into efficient hand path. Maintains balance throughout. Lives mostly to the middle-pull side
Power: 84 mph exit velocity from the tee. 
Run: 7.49 runner in the 60. 

Delivery: Low effort, repeated delivery. Drop and drive type. Relies on command
Arm Action: RH. Short, loose arm action, high ¾ slot.
FB: 83, 78-81 mph. Locate well with flashes of arm side action
CB: 66-68 mph. Good shape with sweeping action
CH: 72-73 mph. Showed sink with flashes of fade as well
