Scouting Report

10/21/18- 6-foot-3, 160-pound left-handed pitcher.  Long projectable frame. Worked from the stretch.  Funky delivery that starts tall and then collapse to drive down mound.  Good direction and lands slightly across body. Throws from ¾ arm slot with good arm action.  Sneaky fastball with varying action at 84-85 mph. Curveball has 1/7 break with decent shape and tight spin thrown at 69-70 mph and inconsistent at times.  Change-up is inconsistent thrown with good arm speed with varying action at 72-74 mph. Has a chance to project out and a follow arm in 2020 class.




 

 

PBR: What schools have expressed interest in you?

Ogden: I have talked to some mid-major D1 and Ivy League schools.

PBR: Have you taken any visits, or have any visits scheduled in the near future?

Ogden: I have not taken any visits yet.

PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school? (Example: high academics, certain academic program, local, etc.)

Ogden: I’m looking for a school that has great academics, and a baseball program that places emphasis on pitcher development.

PBR: What were some of your highlights during your sophomore year?

Ogden: The highlights of my sophomore year were developing a strong relationship with my teammates for this upcoming year, and achieving my goal of a sub 2.0 ERA. 

PBR: What are your goals for this year?

Ogden: My goals for this year are to limit my walks to one every three to four innings, have a sub 1.50 ERA, and to make state. Also, keep improving my velocity, and to be around 88-90 by the summer

PBR: Do you play any other sports?

OgdenI played basketball and soccer last year, but quit this year to focus on academics and baseball.

PBR: What is your ACT and GPA?

Ogden: I have a 3.65 GPA and got a 33 on the ACT.
