Uncommitted Spotlight - Felix Morin

Scouting Report

Uncommitted 2022 lefty Félix Morin is an interesting arm out of Quebec. At 6-4, 175-pounds, Morin is lanky, and doesn’t have a lot of velocity right now. The fastball lives low 80s, and the breaking ball is slow, but he can throw it in any count and does have some shape to it. The changeup works down in the zone, and given the nature of his low-¾ delivery, it’s deceptive. Morin is long, lean, and works in the zone with his three pitchers and there’s room to grow. If he does what he needs to do in the gym, he could fill out to be a mid-to-high 80s lefty with command of the zone. He gets outs, he has feel for his pitches, and he competes on the mound going right at hitters. From an academic standpoint, Morin is also a very good student so there is lots of options on and off the ball field with the southpaw in the 2022 class.
