SENIOR SPOTLIGHT

11/30/21  -  Brendan is a strong and thick right-hander out of Wisconsin. Possessing an attractive baseline with small upside hurdles. Strenke has been relatively quiet through the 2021 cycle due to being sidelined with injury. In September, he appeared at a Midwest pro day in Iowa. Where the fastball sat 87-90, and the offspeed offered short actions on the changeup and slider, respectively. Strenke utilizes a simple delivery with a somewhat raw movement aesthetic. Powering up to 90 with a good idea of how to funnel down a driveline. Easy to imagine there's plenty more in the tank to unlock. Improvements to his secondary stuff appear easy to map on the surface given the spin rates, and could shift his value prop higher quite rapidly with some guidance. Strenke is an intriguing pop up opportunity for schools who may be learning they have room available come the spring.
