Today we’ll be shining some light on OF Cody Monaghan (Tahoma), who’s an uncommitted senior name that’s slotted on our 2022 in-state rankings. He’s a 6-foot-2, 180-pound multi-sport athlete that we saw at two events last year, the most recent one being the Eastern Washington Top Prospect Games in June. There, Monaghan showed a short path to contact and elevated attack angle from the right side, peppering the opposite field gap on the barrel throughout his round of BP. He showed above-average bat strength, posting a max exit velocity of 93.60 mph with a peak batted distance of 371 ft., per TrackMan. Monaghan showed steady hands in his defensive workout and his lower half played through the baseball to release.
