Uncommitted Senior Spotlight: Carter Johnson

07.06.22 Scout Notes -- 6-foot-3, 190-pound frame. Worked mostly to center and left center during his BP rounds. Top exit velocity 93 mph. Simple, balanced swing with quickness to his hands.

03.02.22 Scout Notes -- Tall, long, athletic framed.  Stance that is wider than shoulder width and slight bend in his knees.  Bat speed is good and should increase with added strength.  Swing stays in the zone a long time and has juice to it. Strength in the lower half with good action through the swing.  Hands are up behind the ear and the load is quick and early.  Little to no stride in the lower half. Does have a tendency to raise up out of his swing at times.  Aggressive on pitches around the zone.  Shows feel and should have a chance to find the barrel consistently.
