Newcomers
|
Tanner Sever SS / 2B / Coppell , TX / 2023
Max exit velo: 87.9 Launch angle: 22.6
Seaver was one the PBR staff really wanted to see heading into the summer and today he didnt disappoint with his showing at the plate during BP and live AB's. Showed a balanced, simple setup with a compact swing. He stayed in the middle of the field well and showed the ability to get to the ball down and in and drive it. The left handed hitting SS will be one to pay attention too.

Jack Frankel RHP / 1B / Prestonwood Christian Academy, TX / 2024
FB: Avg: 85 Top 86.1 IVB: 14.8 HB: 9.9 Spin: 2117 SL: Avg: 76 Top: 77.4 IVB: -2.4 HB -9.5 Spin: 2663 CH: Avg: 77.8 Top: 78.4 IVB: 9.6 HB: 14.5 Spin 1614
Frankel had a nice outing on the day showing a bright future on the mound with his ability to command the fastball as well as show the ability to spin the slider at a high rate already. He was also able to throw a couple changeups that had good armspeed and armside action as well. Impressive day for an arm that hasnt hit high school yet.

|
Jake Duer OF / LHP / Marcus, TX / 2022
Exit Velo: 86.9 Launch angle: 23.3 degrees Distance: 312
Duer has a frame that projects down the road with high waist and long legs, and will only continue to get better with added strength. Duer showed the ability to handle the bat and stayed in the right center field gap all day for BP. His bat showed a high upside on the day.

|
Theo Kummer C / 3B / John Paul II, TX / 2022
Max Exit Velo: 82.5 Launch angle: 20.9 Distance: 263
Kummer had a nice showing on the day both at the plate and the dish as well. Behind the plate showed refined actions compared to previous times seen with PBR, and was able to move and throw the ball well on the day. At the plate showed a compact simple swing that hit balls hard on the day.

|
Max Exit velo: 75.7 Launch angle: 36.7 FB Avg: 81.6 Max 83.7 Spin 1811
Cordiero only threw fastballs on the day due to where he is at throwing wise but showed a bright future with natural athleticism. He will clean some things up mechanically but the framework is there. There is plenty of room to grow still and he has a bright future. At the plate, also showed his natural athleticism and high upside as well.
|
|
Cody Cashon C / 3B / Southlake Carroll, TX / 2024
Max Exit Velo: 79.4 Launch angle: 12.9 degrees Distance: 180'
Showed well behind the dish catching a couple of talented arms on the day. Also was able to show a bright future with the bat. Cashon shows a bright future as he continues to physically mature.

|
Tate Evans RHP / SS / Marcus (Flower Mound), TX / 2022
FB: Avg: 83.3 Max: 84.4 Spin: 2103 IVB: 22.2 HB 8.7 Evans has a crossfire delivery, striding well across his body, and still throws from a high 3/4 slot. He has a high front side that correlates well with his slot creating even more deception than his stride already does. Evans was able to show some natural cut to the FB and significant ride through the zone.
