On Tuesday, June 2nd, PBR Georgia hosted the second annual Top Prospect Games for uncommitted rising seniors. Approximately 50 prospects from all over the state of Georgia made their way to LakePoint Sports in Emerson, GA.

We complete our analysis of the Top Prospect Games with a look at the pitchers. Leading the way is the dynamic Georgia commit 3B/RHP Glenn Green (Sandy Creek, 2021). Green has advanced swing and miss stuff and a strong arm to go along with it. His fastball plays up into the low 90s and is complimented by a sharp curveball. An athlete on the mound, Green has a strong 6-foot-2, 185-pound frame.

Following Green are two strong, sturdy right-handers in Chattanooga State commit RHP Anthony Bonacci (Norcross, 2021) and USC-Upstate commit RHP Barrett Barkely (First Presbyterian Day, 2021). Bonacci has shown steady improvement in his fastball, now working the pitch up to 88. What really sets him apart is his high spin rate (2600+ rpm), swing and miss breaking ball. Barkley showed heavy life on his fastball and coupled it with two distinct breaking balls that he can throw for strikes.

Kennesaw State commit SS/RHP Hudson Mimbs (First Presbyterian Day, 2021) was not even scheduled to pitch on the day, but given the chance he hopped on the mound and solidified himself as a legit two-way prospect. Mimb’s lively fastball worked up to 89 mph, and he showed an 11/5 curveball with bite. Rounding out the top-5 is 2019 PBR Future Games alum LHP Anthony Turner (North Gwinnett, 2021). Turner has a long, lean frame that still has plenty of filling out to do. He has great feel and pitchability on the mound, working up to 85 and offering up a big breaking 1/7 curveball.

Keeping reading to see reports on a talented group of pitchers who attended.
