Top Prospect - St. Louis: Statistical Analysis

Top Prospect - St. Louis took place on Tuesday, June 4 at Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville. The event totaled 58 athletes with participants ranging from Illinois, Missouri and Kansas. In the morning, players went through a pro-style workout in front of our PBR Staff. All players were then divided into four teams participating in two 7+ inning simulated games. All players were scouted throughout the day and below is a compilation of the top statistical leaderboards event wide.


STATISTICAL ANALYSIS

Top Home To First

Missouri product OF Brayden Hudson (Harrisburg) led the home to first times at 4.19 and Kansas product OF Brennan Perkins (Rockhurst) was hot on his tail at 4.22.


Top Fastball Velocity

RHP Keaton Hopwood (Wilmington) was the only player to eclipse the 90+ mph mark for his top fastball velocity on the day at 91 mph.


Top Exit Velocity

A pair of right-handed hitting Missouri prospects in C Chuck Ingram (Rockhurst) and 1B Cole Robinson (Rockwood Summit) tied for the lead in exit velocity at 99 mph. Another Missouri product in C Zach Dillman came in second at 98 mph. 


Top Infield Velocity

SS Aidan Baltz (Lees Summit West) stood alone atop the infield velocity testing tossing seeds across at 87 mph. Finishing a tick behind the leader was Illinoian SS Matt Schuler (Lyons Township).


Top Outfield Velocity

Missouri prospect Eric Loomis (CBC) headlined the outfield velocity leaderboard at 90 mph, the only prospect to eclipse the 90 mph mark. Sam Burduris (Minooka) was two ticks behind the leader at 88 mph. 


Top Catcher Pop Times

Three players from Illinois and one from Missouri had pop-times under the two second benchmark. Chayton Beck (Liberty) led all back stops on the day with an event best 1.93 pop from the crouch.


Top Catcher Velocity

Two players from Missouri topped 80+ mph in the catcher velocity testing. Chuck Ingram (Rockhurst) came in first at 82 mph and Zach Dillman (Lee's Summit West) finished second at 81 mph.
