Top Performer Spotlight: 2021 OF Jay Pichardo (North Rockland HS)
July 21, 2019
Since June 7th, our boot-on-the-ground scouting team have seen 500+ players at showcase events, including the 2019 NYS Games. Already, 100's of players have caught the eyes of our professional scouting staff, all with dreams of playing baseball at the next-level. Over the remainder of the summer I (Dan Cevette) will be highlighting "Top Performer Spotlights" on players who really stood-out and offering my "Quick-Hit" thoughts on the players.

CEVETTE'S QUICK HIT
CEVETTE'S QUICK HIT: One of the more athletic 2021 OF's still uncommitted in NY. Personally saw his BP round and it didn't disappoint. Table setter approach with power to the gaps, barrel is short and direct to the ball while still showing above average bat speed through contact. Defensively he's a next-level guy (6.65 60 yard dash), moves to the ball with ease, actions are smooth, arm-strength is strong (88 mph), and we expect to continue to see more gains. Overall, Pichardo oozes athleticism and displays all the tools needed to play at the next-level.
