The 2017 ENY All-Star Games took place Sept. 17 at Marist College. Over 60 high-end prospects took the field showing off their skill-sets in front of our PBR NY scouting staff and nearly a dozen college coaches. As the smoke continues to clear, we are fast-at-work piecing together all the scouting data we collected more than three weeks prior. Today we highlight yet another player who's performance earns an extra look.

ENY ASG (Sept. 17, 2018) Gordon stands at 6-foot-0, 160-pounds with projected physical gains. At the plate he shows a confident loose approach, slightly open stance, bat waggle with hands around ear level. On the pitch he uses a leg-lift with front stride, back load with bat getting upright in a power position. Path to the ball is short, barrel plane is mostly level through contact, full extension. Bat-speed is there and will only get better with some time, 88 mph off a tee. Defensively, active lower half but drags feet some, more fast twitch foot-speed training would cure that. Glove is soft and fields out in front with quick transfer to a 3/4 release, does show multi-arm slots. 79 mph arm across diamond showing strong arm strength, possible move to the corner down the road. Fun player to watch this spring.
