Scouting Report

6/09/22: An Indiana recruit, Wiggins seems to enjoy his time at LakePoint, having put up big performances across various events the last three summers. The 6-foot-4, 210-pounder started his week at the NPI ProCase, where he easily blasted balls out of the yard to center and right field, showing a heavy barrel and tremendous strength at impact. He’s no 5 o’clock hitter, translating that offensive potential to game play. He went 5-for-10 with two doubles, a triple, four RBIs and four runs scored. He has a knack for finding the barrel and keeps it in the zone a long time, allowing him to drive the ball from line to line. Wiggins is a legitimate two-way prospects to boot, and tossed two innings on the final day, allowing one hit and striking out three. He pitched at 88-91 with downhill plane on the fastball at times and flashed downer break to a 79-81 curveball.

9/17/21: OF Andrew Wiggins (Heritage Christian HS, IN) continues to improve and is only going to become a bigger impact at the plate. Physical and strong at 6-foot-3, 200 pounds, he just began lifting weights. He shows the ability to stay balanced at the plate and put a charge into the ball from the left side. As he continues to add strength and incorporate his lower half more, the exit velocities will only get louder.
