Scouting Report

7/15/17- PBR ProCase- Texas Christian recruit, currently ranked No. 312 overall, No. 4 in Minnesota’s 2018 class. 5-foot-8, 175-pound switch-hitting catcher with compact, strong frame. Legitimate switch-hitter, repeats swing from both sides. Balanced, aggressive approach, quick hands, consistent hard line drives to all fields, swing works with rhythm, strong through the ball, gets off his backside well. In game, went 2-for-3 with a two-run single, the only player to have multiple hits at the Midwest ProCase. Registered 95 mph exit velocity from the right side, 96 from the left side. Highly athletic feet for catcher, ran a 6.94 laser-timed 60. Ultra-quick glove-to-hand transfer and release, recorded pop times ranging between 1.79-1.97, erratic around the bag. Throws carry to the bag, 78 mph from the crouch. Also was clocked at 91 mph from shortstop.

2016 Future Games- 5-foot-9, 185-pound switch-hitting catcher. #197 ranked 2018 in PBR Overall. Compact frame with present strength. Juaire ran a 7.3 60, showed an 82 mph arm from behind the plate, posted a 1.94 pop time, and had a 91 mph exit velocity. Repeats swing well from both sides of plate, square stance, knee to knee trigger, works top half of baseball, solid line drive contact, stays in middle of field. Above avg. arm strength, quick release, open front foot on throws effects accuracy, throws have carry to bag. Solid receiver and blocker. Active around plate.

4/16/16- received well and was active behind the plate. Throws to second base between innings ranged between 1.85-2.04 (11 inning game). Went 2-4 at plate with an RBI.

3/13/16- 5-foot-10, 185-pound switch-hitting catcher. 7.32 60 time. Similar swing mechanics from both sides of plate. Left-handed shows an aggressive swing. Consistent solid contact with solid pop in bat. Uses whole field. Right-handed shows better power with mid/pull approach. Stays inside ball well at contact. Exit velo (90-LHH/94-RHH). Shows above avg. feet with very quick release. Well above avg. arm strength at 82 mph. Receives ball deep occasionally. Shows ability to receive/handle above avg. pitching. 1.95 pop time to second base with carry. 

MN Underclass Prospect Games- 7/1/15
5-foot-8, 175-pound switch-hitting catcher/infielder. Strong lower half with explosion to baseball. Swing is more compact with better balance left-handed. Aggressive at plate with 3 hits in game. 88 mph exit velocity off tee. 75 mph arm strength behind the plate with pop times in 2.03-2.12 range. Slightly narrow set-up. Average receiver. High energy player with above average baseball I.Q. Shows usable hands and feet in field with accurate throws and plus arm strength at 89 mph. One of the top 2018 prospects in state.
