2016 RHP Hunter Lansdell committed to Arkansas Tech University on Monday. Lansdell is a big physical right-hander from Horatio HS. He played a key role in the Lions run to the state semi-finals last year. Below you will find our scouting report from the All-State Games which Lansdell pitched in on Sunday, November 1st.
2016 RHP Hunter Lansdell, Horatio HS
Lansdell is a 6-foot-2 180-pound right-hander with a large frame and a physical build. He pitches from a H ¾ arm slot with a quick arm. He does a sound job of repeating his mechanics, I would like him to get more extension to home plate. His repeatable mechanics allowed him to pound the strike zone with two pitches. His fastball worked 83-86 mph with slight sink and his curveball was thrown at 75 mph with 11/5 break and late action. Overall Lansdell is a big physical athlete with some projectablility and should have the physical strength to log a lot of collegiate innings.
