With that being said, it is time to update the Texas Class of 2022 Rankings.
Taking over the No. 1 spot is C Rylan Galvan (Sinton HS). The Texas recruit is an athletic catcher with premier receiving skills and strong hands. Has a clean and easy transfer to go with a plus arm behind the dish. In the box has an athletic setup with a quiet swing producing gap to gap doubles power right now.

Coming in at No. 2 is 3B Cade Climie (Seven Lakes HS). The Texas A&M recruit shows strength to all fields, and a chance to stick on the life side of the diamond. In the box Climie sets up tall and has a calm rythmic load into a simple swing producing backspin line drives.

SS Anthony Silva (Clark HS) put on a show at the PBR Future Games and moves into the No. 3 spot. The Texas Christian recruit is a gifted defender with natural instincts. Silva looks the part of a future shortstop at the next level and beyond. His athletic, 6-foot-1, 170-pound frame should continue filling out in the future.

A pair of southpaws round out the top five. LHP JD Thompson (Rusk HS) showcased a quick arm and a fastball that sat 85-88 mph at the NPI. The 5-foot-11, 165-pound lefty features a more polished delivery that allows him to find a consistent, high 3/4 slot, producing strikes. Trenton Shaw (DeSoto HS) 6-foot-3, 230-pounds, has been up to 90 on the mound but settles in around 83-88. Shaw has a clean arm path and moves athletically down the mound. Shaw has an extremely high ceiling and look for more to come down the road.
