Team Nevada: Luke Metzker
July 11, 2020
With the PBR Future Games exactly one month out, we are going to take a look at the prospects selected to represent Team Nevada. These are the best Uncommitted prospects that our state has to offer in the 2022 - 2023 classes and are expected to be some of the first prospects off the board. I am extremely excited about this years team with level of talent that will representing our state against the top Uncommitted players from around the country.
The most recent addition to the Future Games roster, Luke Metzker is a high ceiling two-way Bishop Manogue product that rounds out an exciting roster of Nevada prospects. A standout at the Northern Nevada Scout Day, Metzker showcased a solid batting practice round where he barreled the ball up consistently staying in the middle of the field. Defensively, shows confidence coming through the ball with quality glove presentation and an accurate arm. On the mound, Metzker possesses a three pitch mix that he commands well with a quick, athletic arm action that has seen his velocity continue to trend upward from the 82 mph he topped out at earlier this year.

Uncommitted ‘22 IF/RHP Luke Metzker, @Manoguebaseball, showed well both on the mound with his FB sitting 81-82 mph and with this easy swing that consistently barrelled balls up. One to watch for, especially as he continues to add strength and size #ForNevadaByNevada #BeSeen pic.twitter.com/HreD7gt30c

The TrackMan + Blast Hitter Update is coming Tuesday, July 14 to ETA (Elite Training Academy) for hitters to update statistical categories on their PBR Profiles for players in the 2021-2024 classes.
THIS EVENT WILL BE LIMITED TO 30 PROSPECTS
Prospects will receive multiple rounds of TrackMan + Blast Evaluated Swings (30+ Swings)
The Blast Motion system provides real time swing analysis that will be shared with players following the event to see what areas of their swings they excel as well as areas they may be deficient in to know where they can improve on for future events/competition.
The TrackMan system post contact date that allows prospects to immediately review the results of a batted ball, providing metrics such as Distance, Exit Velocity, Spin Rate, Launch Angle and much more.
These two systems combines produce an unrivaled amount of information at the prospects fingertips that they will be able to review sessions, track progress and compare themselves to see where they stack up against players in their class.
Data has become the ultimate separator of prospects over the past few years and this event will provide an opportunity to see where your metrics stand currently.
