Scouting Report

01/21/17- The 6-foot-1, 170-pound LHP/1B shows a smooth, easy short arm swing. The velocity isn’t there yet with the fastball ranging 76-78 mph, but has above average to plus command down in the zone to both sides of the plate. Also showed the ability to really spin the slider at 72 mph and a feel for a changeup at 74 mph. He also showcased a sidearm slot adding to the deception. He shows an above average feel for three pitches and the stuff should improve with age, strength and innings. Offensively, the right handed hitter shows quality separation and an aggressive approach. He shows a short, strong swing with an exit velocity of 80 mph.

9/19/15 - 6-foot-1, 170 pound OF/LHP with a lean loose athletic projectable body. Athletic outfield actions with a quick release. Aggressive routes. Charges ball and fields through it. Loose athletic infield actions with soft hands and light on his feet. Good accuracy in arm. Ran a 7.9 60. 72 mph OF velocity. 73 mph infield velocity. 78 mph exit bat speed velocity.  On the mound he had a loose working arm at a high ¾ arm slot. Fluid delivery that was in line. Fast ball was 76-78 with some arm side run and glove side cut action. Curve ball was 66-68 mph with a tight ¾ rotation. Repeats delivery and throws a lot of strikes. Good looking young arm.
