Selected by the Texas Rangers in the 25th Round of the 2019 MLB Draft

Pelletier, high end catch and throw, defence first type player with room for future strength gains. The agility and lower half movement from the crouch standout immediately and his ability to work and move the glove around the zone. The bat currently trails the glove but with his ability to defend, along with the hope of physical maturation, Pelletier, a TCU commit will be a highly coveted player heading into the 2020 draft.

Impressive summer for Pelletier as he was arguably one of the top all-around catchers at the Future Games and committed at the event to TCU. Carried himself into a spot on the final 20 roster, representing Canada at the Pan Am Games. Athleticism, ability to receive, work side to side and the way he controls the game, his pitchers really stands out. Strength gains to come, will help in development with swing, still needs polish but there is feel and contact as there is approach while working to stay inside ball. High ceiling and a plus makeup guy.

6.15.18
Defends behind the plate, loose relaxed hips and receives with ease. Was a standout at the ProCase this summer with feel for the barrel and drove the ball in game with 2B to right field and put together some really good at-bats. Lots of upside and a chance for him to blossom into one of the better catchers in the country who should be able to contribute offensively as well.
