Scouting Report

4/13/18 Spring Scout Blog: Uncommitted 2019 LHP prospect and potential two-way athlete with a strong base and plenty of room to develop. Walker stands 6-foot-5 about 200 pounds and looks the part on the bump. Easy delivery, high 3/4 slot with above average arm speed. Stab/wrap on the backside. Good balance and some rhythm although the body did get out of sync at times. Fastball was 84-86 T87 in the first through third innings and 82-84 in the fourth. Pitch showed slight run action. Curveball is a 2/8 with gradual break although it did produce some late action, mostly against LHHs. FB to Near FB arm speed. Both pitches were erratic at different points throughout the game. 86 pitches, 47 strikes. Offensively is a physical hitter who had two HRs in three at bats during the same game. FINAL LINE: 4IP 0H 1ER 7K 4BB.
