Scouting Report

5.31.17

Lifrieri, a right-handed hitter, an athletic athlete. The stance is balanced, hands are loose, and have serious life through the hitting the zone. The swing has loft and lift to it, shows to have above average power to all fields. The legs are above average, shows to have an athletic stride, gains good ground defensively in the outfield. A toolsy type player, arm shows to be a tick above average from the outfield. Good looking prospect, headed to Arkansas.

8/5/16- Future Game Report
6-foot-1, 185-pound, strong, long athletic frame. Earned MVP honors of the tournament. A right-handed hitter, who has plus power to all fields. Collected two home runs and a single, ran the bases extremely hard and well. The stance is slightly open, hands held just above shoulders and uses a leg kick for timing. Squares balls up one after another, with lift and length to them. The tee exit velocity was 100 mph, and ran a 6.84 60 yard. Defensively, the arm is above average from the outfield, was clocked at 91 mph, throws were downhill and on the bag. Gaining interest from high level programs.

7/12/16
6-foot-1, 185-pound, physical, athletic frame. The back is wide, hands and legs are strong. Plenty of room to fill out, will be very physical in 18 months. A right-handed hitter, is one of the better hitters in the state and works extremely hard it. The stance is slightly wider than shoulder width and open just a bit. The hands are loose, even with shoulders, gets some movement with them is timing and trigger. The lower half is used extremely well, has a leg kick which produces big time pop to the swing. The swing is level to up, creates leverage and tremendous backspin to all parts of the field. The tee exit velocity was 97 mph, which went up 8 mph, since last year. Times down the line were 4.3. In game swings were good, hit a towering homerun to left field. Defensively, plays both the OF and middle infield. In OF, attacks the baseball well, uses long strides to go after balls in the gap. The arm is clean, free and ball comes out of a ¾ slot. Throws were on line and downhill. Clocked at 86 mph with good carry. In the infield, fields ball out front and keeps his feet moving well towards target. Feeds from SS are good, good flow and rhythm in starting the double play. Clocked as well at 86 mph across the diamond. Big time recruit, will hit for power at a high level, better suited for a corner OF position, plays the game hard and likes to compete.

8/5/15
Good looking player who is converting to second base but showed a good feel for playing the outfield. Body is wiry and projects to add pounds, could be a monster prospect in 3 years. The foot speed is good at 7.2. The throwing velocity is advanced at 83. The arm is quick and has carry to it from the outfield. At second base, the glove is fine and his path shortens when he comes into the infield. The work around the bag needs to be coached and the game will slow down for him.  The bat is very advanced for me, needs strength but its a solid path. The setup is even and the hands work clean to the ball. Tee exit velocity of 89 right now, way ahead of most 2018’s. Big follow for me, as hes athletic and projects. Like the bat.

7/14/15
6-foot-1, 180-pound athletic build long limbs, lean projectile body room to put added muscle on. Right handed hitter, with an upright stance, hands are set slightly above shoulders. Quiet simple load. Dillon has a line drive swing path with slight lift, barrel stays in the strike zone a long time. Exit velocity was 89 and will improve with strength. Able to control the barrel, while he uses the whole field to hit, has a chance to really hit and hit with power once he adds strength. Defensively, athletic actions moves through the ball well, footwork is above average for his age, arm has good carry and flight to it, registered 81 on the gun. Lifrieri headed to Indianapolis for the future games with team New England will be someone to follow, bat will be intriguing to people.
