Spring Uncommitted Spotlight: Cutter Colvert

Scott Hood
OK/MO/KS/ARK Assistant Scouting Director

The Jackrabbits from Lonoke are off to an impressive 16-2 start and a large part can be attributed to the physicality in the middle of the order brought by 2024 INF Cutter Colvert.   Standing at 6-foot-3 and 220-pounds, Colvert has the size and present strength to make an impact with the bat and will only continue to get better as he adds more experience and strength.  Right now the former Future Gamer has exit velocities up to 101.6 mph showing how he can make the ball jump off the barrel.  Even with the strength, Colvert shows quick hands and strong overall bat speed that currently is uncommitted and could fit into a lot of lineups at the next level.  Even at his bigger size he shows the ability to play up the middle at second base but should transition to third base at the next level with soft hands and smooth actions.
