SoCal Underclass Games: Positional Leaderboards

Matt Monk

PBR California's Underclass Games took place over the weekend with separate events in both Northern and Southern California. We got to see familiar faces and some new ones show out at both events. The Underclass Games is an event designed to identify projectable players in the classes of 2026 and 2027 before they start their spring seasons.

Players gathered at Hart Park in Orange, California for a workout and a simulated game. They were evaluated by our staff and PBR's partnered technologies. These leaderboards give the data for the position players at the Underclass Games.

For all the data and informations on all of the players outside of the leaderboards click here.

The classic measures of fielding proficiency outside of player footwork and technique are velocity and pop times (for catchers). This is measured by our staff with the Stalker Sport II.

CATEGORICAL LEADERS

Infield Velocity (MIF/3B/1B)

Each throwing from their primary position, velocities gathered with Stalker Sport II

Outfield Velocity

Making throws from RF to 3B and Home

Catcher Velocity

Popping from the crouch position, Stalker II set on out-bound from behind catcher to record throwing velocity.

Pop Times

The time from when the ball hits the catchers glove to when the ball reaches second base. Each catcher had 4-5 pop times in their workout.
