Senior Spotlight: UTL Zach Ordeneaux

Currently ranked No. 40 in Louisiana's 2020 class. Lean 5-foot-10, 160-pound frame, athletic build with room to add size. Shows quality athleticism for posting a 6.71 60-yard dash. Left-handed hitter, hits from a balanced, athletic setup, with loose rhythm into leg kick load with a shorter stride to engage his lower half. Line-drive/pull approach, fluid rhythm, length through contact with quality bat speed, produced an exit velocity of 93 mph. Solid defender with average hands and clean exchanges. Short arm action into high-¾ release with accuracy that produced a positional velocity of 70 mph. Looks to be an offensive 2B or outfielder down moving forward. Worked out in the outfield during Catholic HS Scout Day and showed well, clean, athletic actions with a positional velocity of 82 mph.
