2014 RECORD: 19-1

TOP PLAYERS:

Justin Souder
TEAM STRENGTHS
Poolesville's biggest strength is their overall team defense. Strength in the middle is always very important to carry and defense and having MIF Nic Fisher and C Justin Souder create a good core in important middle positions. Steven Morningstar and Logan Rocco lead the way in the outfield for the Falcons.
That strong defense combines well with a strong pitching staff led by senior Tony Parker. Still uncommitted, Parker is a player that Coach Orsini feels is getting a bit overlooked and could be a senior gem for a college program.
QUESTION MARK
Poolesville has strong core of seniors, but they are still going to need many inexperienced underclassmen to give production to the program. The learning curve will be sharp at the beginning, but look for these new players to catch up and learn the flow of the game.
WILDCARD
The senior class is a very experienced one and they are used to nothing but success with a 30-3 record the past two seasons. Even though the team has new players coming in and they will have to step up with the program this year, look for this strong senior class of Fisher, Morningstar, Parker, Rocco, and Michael Vetter to pace this team and keep them on the right path.
OVERALL
As mentioned before, Poolesville has had a recent stretch of winning the past two seasons. As you put together multiple seasons of success, you end up getting the best of your opponents every game. It’s a tribute to the program. Look for another strong season from the Falcons.
