TEAM STRENGTHS
Whitman is banking on their experience on the mound to catapult them this 2015 season. They have five pitchers back with 20 innings or more on the mound for them last season including 2016 Sean Cook. That depth and experience will help the team and keep them in games.
QUESTION MARK
The Vikings foresee scoring runs as an issue for the upcoming season. They lost their top six hitters from last year and are going to need some new blood to step in and contribute on the offensive end.
WILDCARD
Eric Wayman. Wayman is a 2017 on the Vikings roster and the coaching staff has been impressed by his ability. Look for the youngster to have an opportunity to make a name for himself.
OVERALL
The pitching staff will have to lead Whitman as they create a niche on the offensive end. This is especially true for the beginning of the season. After a nice 2014, it may be harder to repeat that success. Look for the second half of the season to see this team create a new identity. If some young players can step in and contribute, Whitman could be a surprise team the 2015 season.
