Scouting Report

8/15/20

Position: RHP

Body: 6-4, 170lbs. Long limbs, lanky build has started to fill out over the summer. Substantial projection remaining as he continues his physical development.

Mechanics/Delivery: Small rocker step to an athletic balance point above the belt. Slight turn at the top. Swings the front leg down and out with a deep stabbing take away. Full arm action to an OTT slot. Gains ground with good extension out front. Lands square, on his line. Moderate effort in his delivery. Repeats well.

FB: FB showed life out of the hand working up to 87 mph. Ranging 83-86 mph. Slight running action. Good location in the zone.

SL: True slider at 77-81 mph. Side to side action with late break. Occasional two-tier plane.

CB:
74-76 mph with larger break and downer action.

CH: 77-78 mph. Feels the pitch in the zone with fade to the arm side.

Summary:  Projectable RHP with tons of upside. Shows feel for a mix of pitches. FB/SL combo was his best compliment at the T.P.G. Velo has climbed and should continue to do so. Starter/Long Relief profile moving forward.
