The Rawlings Tigers Scout Day in completed, we now take a look back at the standouts from yesterday's event. The Scout Day included a Pro-Style Workout where players ran a Laser Timed 60 Yard Dash, took a Batting Practice, Catcher Pop Times/Velocity, Outfield Evaluations/Velocity and Infield Evaluation/Velocity concluding with Pitches Bullpens. This was an exclusive event for players in the Rawlings Tigers program to highlight and promote players in their program.

The Rawling Tigers Scout Day brought out a talented group of prospects lead by the players in the freshman and sophomore classes. The day started off with a 6.99 Laser Timed 60 by Bryce Ferrer-Leo and followed it up with the top outfield velocity at 80 mph. 2023 C/3B out of Arbor View, Jared Layfield, used his physicality to earn the days Top Raw Exit Velocity at 88 mph. Incoming Centennial Bulldog, Nick Yu, lead the way for the Rawlings Tigers in a number of categories including Infield Velocity (80 mph), Catching Velocity (76 mph) and Catcher Pop Times at 1.96. On the bump, 2024 right hander, Andrew Kaplan, lead the way as he ran his fastball up to 78 mph with some looseness in the arm that show see his velocity continue to improve over the next few years. This group of young athletes showed impressive actions throughout the event with much more to come in the future.
