Erik Swanson, RHP, Mariemont HS
PBR: Why did you choose Wabash Valley Junior College?
Swanson: I chose Wabash Valley because I really liked the visit I took and the coaches were all great. Also the baseball program is very solid there.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Swanson: Wabash Valley was really the only school I was looking into and when I went I knew that it was the right place for me.
PBR: Where did the Wabash Valley coaches first see you?
Swanson: The first time the coaches saw me was when I went on my visit there in February and I threw for them.
PBR: What role do the coaches expect you to play your first year on campus?
Swanson: The coaches and I are still discussing my role for my first year.
PBR: What team do you play for in the summer?
Swanson: I play for Cincinnati Baseball Club (Redhawks) the past summer however I played for The Ohio Force.
PBR: What sort of sacrifices did you have to make to play a travel intensive schedule during the summer?? What sort of advice would you pass on to players looking to make the same decision?
Swanson: I sure am gone a lot over the summer and I enjoy every minute of it. If you truly enjoy the sport then I recommend playing summer baseball because it gets your name out there and allows scouts to see you.
PBR: What was the most memorable experience from this summer?
Swanson: My most memorable experience this summer was playing in East Cobb. The teams down there were ridiculously good and it was just an all around great time.

PBR: Who is the toughest hitter that you have faced in Ohio?
