PBR: What were your stats last season at Evansville F.J. Reitz High School?
Sander: BA- .375, 7 doubles, 3 triples, .466 OBP
PBR: Why did you choose Vincennes?
Sander: I want to follow a career in Law Enforcement and Vincennes has one of the best programs. I really liked the campus and the coaching staff. I felt that Vincennes would be the best fit for me
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Sander: Olney Central
PBR: Where did Vincennes first see you compete?
Sander: They saw me at the Olney Central Showcase and the Wabash Valley Showcase.
PBR: What role do the coaches expect you to play during your first year on campus?
Sander: As a left handed hitter they want me to come in and contribute offensively, get stronger and be available to maybe play multiple positions.
PBR: What is your biggest strength as a player and how do you feel that will help Vincennes?
Sander: My biggest strength is my bat and I feel that I can come in and be a great run producer.
PBR: Who has had the biggest impact on you as a baseball player?
Sander: My stepdad has had the biggest impact on me as a player. He will soft toss with me anytime I want to and he likes to help me become a better player.
PBR: Who do you play for in the summer and what was your most exciting experience?
Sander: I play for the 17U Funkhouser team and the most exciting experience was qualifying for the state tournament.
PBR: Who is the toughest pitcher you have faced in Indiana?
Sander: Jordan Striegel
PBR: What are your goals both individually and for the team going into your senior season?
Sander: Individually, I would like to hit over .450 and make the all SIAC team. We finished runner-up in sectionals last year so we would like to win sectionals and make a run in the tournament.
