May 8, 2012
Nick Muse, RHP, Tippecanoe HS
PBR: Why did you choose Marian?
Muse: I chose Marian because of their great Nursing program. The campus had a great feel to it and they are also going to give me a chance to further my career in baseball.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Muse: I was debating between Marian and Muskingum. I really liked Muskingum, as well.
PBR: Where did the Marian coaches first see you?
Muse: The first time they saw me was during a workout with my uncle over in Indiana. They also saw my video on the PBR and berecruited websites.
PBR: What role do the coaches expect you to play your first year on campus?
Muse: Marian is expecting me to come in and help by improving the pitching staff and eating up some innings.
PBR: What team do you play for in the summer?
Muse: This summer I was expecting to play for the Ohio Clippers, but after sustaining a knee injury, I will be rehabilitating over the summer.
PBR: What was the most memorable experience from this summer?
Muse: The most memorable moment over the summer was when I came into relief and kept the opponent from scoring and Taylor Hubner hit a walk-off home run to get a win in the American Legion State tournament.
PBR: Who has had the biggest impact on you as a baseball player?
Muse: My dad has been the most influential person for me in baseball because he has taught me the majority of what I know. Without him, I am not sure if I would have gotten this far in my career.
PBR: What were your stats last spring season at Tippecanoe?
Muse: My record was 4-2, 2 saves, 1.52 ERA, and 40 K's in 41.1 innings.
