PBR: Why did you choose Wright State?
Collins: I chose Wright State because it is a big college but not too big and it felt like home.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Collins: Indiana State, Lake Erie College and several JUCO colleges.
PBR: Coach Lovelady was name the new Head Coach at Wright State last summer. How does it feel to be a part of his era as the Raiders coach?
Collins: It feels great to be a part of his new era. He is a very knowledgeable coach and he is phenomenal.
PBR: Now that you have your commitment out of the way, what are your goals both individually and for the team going into your senior season?
Collins: I plan to continue to set new school records both in pitching and hitting. As a team we want to win the CBC again & win the Regional Finals.
PBR: How does it feel to be a part of a Division 1 baseball program?
Collins: It is amazing to be part of a Division 1 Baseball program, which has always been my dream.
PBR: Who do you play for in the summer and what was the most memorable experience from this summer?
Collins: I play for the Ohio Elite. The most memorable would be playing in The Perfect Game in Georgia.
PBR: What person has the great impact on your baseball career and why?
Collins: The person that has the greatest impact on my baseball career is Jeremiah Kerns. He was a student at Ben Logan a great baseball player and set many baseball records. Now we split most of the records and we are very competitive.
PBR: What were your stats this spring season at Ben Logan?
Collins: I had a season high of 120 strike out, an ERA of .97, batting average .463, 32 RBI, 16 stolen bases, and 11 doubles.
PBR: Who is the toughest hitter that you have face?
Collins: Jarrod Houchin was the toughest player I played against, he is very good ball player and plays for our rival school. Now we will be teammates.
