PBR: Why did you choose Marietta?
Barnabei: I chose Marietta because they felt like the right fit for me. They have great coaches, outstanding facilities, and their tradition and history speaks for itself.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Barnabei: Ohio Dominican and Otterbein
PBR: Where did Coach Brewer first see you? How did your relationship develop with the coaching staff?
Barnabei: They first saw me at a tournament in Cincinnati. They gave me a call after a game and we've been in touch ever since.
PBR: Marietta is a Division III Powerhouse. How does it feel to be a part of such a great program and instantly be a national contender?
Barnabei: I'm excited to be a part of such a storied program as I feel Coach Brewer and his staff will allow me to develop as a person and as a player.
PBR: What role do the coaches expect you to play your first year on campus?
Barnabei: They expect me to come in and work hard to earn a spot in the outfield and also be able to pitch productive innings.
PBR: What summer team do you play on and how has travel baseball helped your development as a player?
Barnabei: I play for Ohio Elite Baseball in the summer and it has helped me tremendously. We played against top teams around that got me ready for the next level.
PBR: Who has had the biggest impact on you as a baseball player?
Barnabei: My dad has had the biggest impact on me as a player. He's believed in me and given me all the confidence I need.
PBR: Who is the best hitter in Ohio that you have ever faced?
