PBR: Why did you choose Miami?
Waszak: All around the school is a perfect fit for me and adding the opportunity to play baseball makes it even better.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Waszak: Other than Miami, for baseball I was deciding between Ohio Northern, Denison, UMass, Washington and Jefferson, and University of Miami, Florida (for academics).
PBR: Coach Hayden was name the new Head Coach at Miami this summer. How does it feel to be a part of his first recruiting class?
Waszak: It feels great and I'm excited. I really like him along with his assistant coaches, Coach Davis and Coach Ison. With their guidance and instruction I hope to do great things for their program.
PBR: Now that you have your commitment out of the way, what are your goals both individually and for the team going into your senior season?
Waszak: My goal is to do my best and help lead my team to have a successful and lengthy season and run at the playoffs.
PBR: How does it feel to be a part of a Division 1 baseball program?
Waszak: It's awesome that all my hard work and dedication to the game finally paid off. But it doesn't stop here, I will have to work even harder this upcoming year.
PBR: Who do you play for in the summer and what was the most memorable experience from this summer?
Waszak: I play for the Diamond Boys. There's not one single memorable moment but the experience I had with my teammates on and off the field definitely made last summer one of the best.
PBR: What person has the great impact on your baseball career and why?
Waszak: Definitely my mom because she always been there for me and always supports me when I'm at my highest and lowest points.
PBR: What were your stats this spring season at University?

PBR: Who is the toughest hitter that you have faced in Ohio?
Waszak: I would probably have to say Mitch Longo.
