SEASON PREVIEW
The Eagles return a balanced club, consisting of ten starters from last seasons team that won 29 games. Coach Carpenter has a number of quality options on the mound, including 2018 LHP Braden Carmichael, who was 1st Team All-District with a 7-2 record, 1.64 ERA, and 48 strikeouts. Another 1st Team All-District winner is 2019 LHP Jacob Cosner, was 7-0 for the Eagles with 1.29 ERA. Also back are seniors Spencer Cochrane, Hunter Prideaux, Conner Jackson, and Cameron Merchant.
On the offensive side of the ball, two-way talent 2018 Taylor Pendley returns. The Texas Tech recruit hit .348 last season. 2019 IF Braden Webb (Memphis commit) was a 1st Team All-District selection after hitting .340 and stealing 10 bags. 2018 OF Kendall Foster is committed to McLennan JC and earned 2nd Team All-District last year. 2019 IF Cody Gallegos will help solidy the defense, as will a number of other seniors and juniors.
With a deep pitching staff, and a number of key hitters returning, Prosper will be tough to beat.
