On Saturday February 17th PBR Virginia/DC will host the Preseason All-State at the Virginia Sports Complex facility in Ruther Glen, VA. The biggest event prior to the high school season in Virginia will feature some of the top players and prospects around the commonwealth and put them all on one stage in front of the PBR scouting staff. As with all PBR events, all players will get their performance videoed and professionally edited to update or start their PBR Profile. Today we spotlight one of the players on the roster for the event.

Scouting Report

5.24.17: Very athletic. Short, loose arm action form a low three-quarters arm slot, average arm strength. Fields with wide base and above average hands, plays through the ball well, quick exchange. Short level swing, above average bat speed with some strength as well. Worked gap to gap, ran 4.5 twice. Bat has a lot of upside. 

2.11.17:  Gilliam is 6-0 with an athletic frame, hits from the right side from an open athletic stance, strides on line with smooth load back, good rhythm. Good hips, very good balance, strong swing. Short to ball with level swing and extension through it, good approach working gap to gap, exit velocity was 101. At third, above average footwork and soft hands, clean exchange. Throws from a low three-quarters arm slot with short arm action, position velocity was 80. Home to first time was 4.34.
