2022 HITTER STANDOUTS from Preseason All State Games

 

GREELEY,  CO-- April 11, 2021    PBR Colorado finally held the Colorado Preseason All State Games after having to postpone due to 27 inches of snow on our original date.  The event was worth the wait.  This event was open to all classifications.  Colorado’s 2021’s - 2024s had an opportunity to put their name on the radar for collegiate recruiting, create or update a PBR profile.  Our morning session contained full evaluations of position players and the afternoon highlighted our pitchers in a live games.  Top Players from this event will have opportunities to be invited to future invite-only events such as  the PBR Future and Junior Future Games and our new PBR West Coast Games.

The Preseason All State Games gave us a chance to see some of the TOP uncommitted Hitters in the State of Colorado.  This group of 2022’s demonstrated a skill set worthy of highlighting.  10 Hitters worth a Strong look:  

2022 Carson Fagan, SS/RHP, Severance   Past Future Games Team Colorado member.  Carson has risen to the Top of the 2022 class.  Balanced aggressive swing that creates consistent line drive path. Is developing Power.  Exit Velo 96.5 Will hit for AVG   Ran 6.88 60  Strong Arm(81) as SS with + actions.  Can see him developing at 3B/SS/2B.  Off Season gains in strength!  Would consider Carson one of Colorado’s Top Uncommitted 2022’s 

 

2022 Aaron Kidd, 2B/SS Legend    Grinder, consistent barrel contact.  Ran a 7.06 60  Early stride with solid base produces explosive rotational acceleration. Blast Hand Speed (26.10)  Great path through ball. Showed ability to keep hands inside on FB In. Exit Velo 96.9   Showed potential for power.  Good athleticism as INF.  One of the TOP performers in this event

 

2022 Tyler P Smith, OF/RHP, Ponderosa    Aggressive attacking approach with linear movement.  Doesnt get cheated.  Shows strength. Intentional lift in swing with good lower half acceleration.  Exit Velo up to 94.57.  Blast Hand Speed(25.60) Quick!   Have seen Tyler make development improvements.



2022 Luke Ruby, SS/RHP, Resurrection Christian  Luke was impressive at the plate, on defense and on the mound.  Ball Player.  Slightly open stance with solid base and balance.  Very good rotational acceleration and hand speed (Blast 24.30)  Exit Velo 89-90.  + Actions defensively.  Would have opportunities at SS/3B/2B.  Strong Arm.  As RHP, repeatable delivery with quick short arc.  Clean finish with slight pull to 1B side.  FB 86 with max Spin at 2283.  Good feel for the zone with all pitches.  CB/SL 76-77.   Small school Athlete trending UP!  

2022 Luke Emerson, OF/RHP, Douglas County   Simple wide base stance with great balance.  Minimal movement with attacking hands.  Good path through ball.  One hand follow through.  Exit Velo 96.6  Max Blast Hand Speed (24.00)  Showed strong Arm strength in OF at 84.    Quick Twitch Athlete

 

2022 Brady Webb, OF/RHP, Lutheran HS  Good Athlete  Ran a 6.7 60.  Wide base stance and stays on back side through contact.  Shows strength.  Slight lift in swing.  Exit Velo 94.  Used all fields  Very quick hands.  Small School athlete with lots of potential and room for growth 

2022 Kaelen Bing, 2B/SS, Cherokee Trail  Left Handed hitting MIF.  6.93 60  Open Stance gets to great launch position.  Strong lower half acceleration creates quick hands.  Blast Hand Speed (23.50)  Exit Velo 91.1  Pull side tendencies.  Shows great potential.  High ceiling for development 

 

2022 River Jackson, SS/C, University HS   Confident hitter. Refined movements with aggressive attack in swing.  Uses all fields and has direct path to the ball. Hands are quick, Blast Hand Speed (25.60)   Exit Velo up 91.  Undersized but strong.  Versatile athlete as SS and Catcher  Pop 1.90 -2.01 range with great actions as MIF    


 

2022 Max Meuli, 3B,Legend    Good base gets to front side early in swing.  Has pull side tendency with good path to the ball.  Shows good tools for development.  Exit Velo 92.38   Showed potential for power.  Strong arm 80, good athleticism as INF.  Plays through ball with hands.  Good DP actions


 

2022 Carl Lind, 3B/1B, Legend   Creates a rhythm to load. Solid Base with balance through swing.  Good rear side acceleration with balance.  Hands work through ball with direct path.  One hand follow through.  Exit Velo up to 94 at times   Would consider him a corner INF or OF.  Shows good feel on ground balls and can continue development on agility and movements  Aggressive athlete with passion for the game
