The annual Invite Only Preseason All-State Showcase for the top 2021 prospects is coming up Saturday February 29th at Roundtripper Sports Academy in Westfield, IN. Leading up to the event we will highlight some of the top prospects to be in attendance.

Scouting Report

9/21/19: The Cincinnati commit sat 86-89 with his fastball at Team Indiana's scout day with an above average breaking ball showing tight spin and sharp break; a potential swing and miss pitch at the next level. Arm speed is quick, repeats his delivery.

2019 INDIANA STATE GAMES: Cincinnati commit. 5-foot-11, 180 pounder. Thursday sat 85-87, with a mid-70’s breaking ball. Arm speed is quick, simple, repeatable delivery. Offensivley, Harker has the ability to spray line drives to either side of the infield and stretch extra bases regularly. Level swing plane, average to above average bat speed, and some swagger. Defensively is clean with a good arm and the ability to throw from a couple different angles.

2/23/2019: Garrett Harker, RHP/3B, Lebanon HS, 2021, 5 foot 11, 175 pounds, showed great feel for the barrel at the plate using a barrel lift to get to a get separated launch position. Has bat speed as he posted an exit velo of 83 mph with a balanced approach, and will develop gap power over time. Showed good 3B/2B actions defensively with plenty of arm strength across the field. On the mound, Garrett throws from a mid ¾ slot and a shorter quick arm action. Fastball was 83-86 with some ASR. CH was a good pitch with fade action and sat 75-77. SL has tight spin and sharp break and sat 73-76. Delivery is simple and repeatable and arm is quick, should add velo as he matures. Harkur is a very good two-way talent and is a good get for the University of Cincinnati.

4/24/18:Very impressive outing on the night for the freshman. CG shutout 11 Ks, 5 hits, 3 walks. Pitches from higher 3/4 arm slot. Has good tempo to the plate, clean mechanics, quick arm stroke and repeats well for a '21. Shows good mound presence, worked out of a couple of jams including a bases loaded 1 out situation in the 5th. Opened up the game sitting 83-85 with his FB and held velo well over 4 innings and then worked more in the 80-82 range over the last 3 innings of his outing. Commanded the FB well mainly working on the outer half of the plate, but did show command to the inner half. FB showed cut action at times. Flashed two different shape breaking balls that were both advanced for age. Showed that he could spin them for strikes but also for swing and misses out of the zone. Spun a CB that was 11/5 shape and showed late hard action at 68-70. Also spun a slider that was 73-76 and a CH that showed fade at times but was mainly up in the zone at 75-77. Overall extremely impressive '21 right hander with advanced pitchability and off speed. Cincinnati commit.
