INFIELDERS

Scouting Report

1.19.19

6 foot 1, 145 pound slender frame with room to fill out. Simple approach with a quiet hand load and soft stride. Sprays low line drives to all fields, with feel for the barrel. Profiles to play either infield position up the middle. Good first step quickness and smooth actions in the infield. Confident with his hands and quick release carried throws accurately across the infield at 81 mph.

Scouting Report

1.19.19

Medium athletic build, with some strength present. May trend more towards 3B if  additional mass is added. Tall stance at the plate with a short stride and hand load. Works the barrel onto plane from a higher load and swing showed low line drive tendency. Consistent feel for the barrel through the zone. Not the rangiest defender but first step quickness and skills will give him a chance to stay on the left side of the infield. Confident reads and consistent footwork. Clean transfers with a longer arm action, will need to get the ball out quicker to play at higher levels.

Scouting Report

1.19.19

5 foot  6 frame with good actions and youth to his advantage. Present projection at the 2B position but could easily stick at either middle infield position as he matures. Will need to translate additional strength to present skill. Loose whip to the barrel with positive attack angle. Soft stride and balance throughout the swing, middle/oppo approach. Fluid footwork in the infield and the ball comes out of his hand with surprising life.

Scouting Report

1.19.19

Medium build with broad shoulders and some muscle tone present, room to finish out development. Slightly open stance, loads the hands back over the back foot. Flat bat path produced a consistent round of low line drives. Rangy infielder with quick hands and natural ability. Pushes the ball across the infield at 74 mph. Current profile suggests 2B.

Scouting Report

1.19.19

Youthful frame, slender throughout. Height and length will give him a chance to mature into something special. Advanced feel for the barrel for a player his age. Taller stance from the left-side with a moderate stride length and hand load over the back foot. Wanted to pull the ball during his BP rounds. Line drive swing path with some loft could trend the power up as he matures. Adequate defender at this point, nothing flashy but confident hands and footwork that play through the ball. 2B or 3B projectability.

Scouting Report

1.19.19

5 foot 10, 155 pounds. Slight build with proportional frame. Aggressive swings during BP from a wider stance and toe tap timing mechanism. Higher hands and elbows. Confident with the barrel through contact with a straight up approach hitting balls to all fields. Lets the ball get into his body at times but skillful reactions and glovework. Good lateral agility and first step quickness. 6.88 60 time (laser).

Scouting Report

1.19.19

6 foot 2, plays every bit of that, maybe 6’3” or 6’4”. High waist and narrow hips with length in the arms, legs, and hands. Narrow stance for his height with a toe tap stride and moderate hand load. Attack angle can become steep at times, but when the barrel gets on plane there is some leverage in the swing. Stays down and through ground balls nicely for a players of his size. Arm strength plays at 3B may be fringy at SS.

Scouting Report

1.19.19

Compact/slender frame with room to build strength in the legs and shoulders. LHH, strides to his toe and slightly closed. Hands work down with the stride and turn the barrel onto plane with a positive attack angle. Keeps the hands inside the ball and drove multiple pitches to the opposite field. Efficient footwork to ground balls, nothing flashy. Ball gets in on him at times. Keeps the feet moving the ball.

Scouting Report

1.19.19

Large frame. As strong as any his age through the lower half. Wider stance with short stride. Gets the barrel onto plane early and muscles it through the zone. + carry when he catches it cleanly. Keeps the bat in the zone for the most part, did however spin off of some pitches. Choppy defender at first, little arm strength to note. Would be serviceable at 1B.
