10-21-18: Natural State Games:

5-Foot-11, 205-Pound frame, physical frame with present strength, ran a 7.64 60, Offensively; open stance, leg lift to stride, hands back at foot strike, back side works underneath body, short finish to pull side, limited space between feet, slight uphill to contact, pull side power, 95 mph exit velo. Defensively; Deep field, fingers up to field, clean funnel, strength to arm, short stroke, gather to throw, 87 mph arm strength.

Pitching: Over the top slot with average arm speed, short arm action with good balance point, easy effort to delivery, repeats delivery, open toe land, spins off heel after release, fastball 79-81 mph, straight downer with angle, misses over the plate and down, slider 70-76 mph, short break with same plane type action, cutter tendency.

 

Davenport is a 5-foot-11 195-pound right-hander with a large frame and a physical build. He pitches from a H ¾ arm slot with a quick arm. He repeats his simple tall and fall delivery, he finishes tall and to the first base side. His fastball works 83-86 mph up to 87 mph with slight sink. He shows a feel for his curveball thrown 70-73 mph with 11/5 shape and gradual break. He also showed a feel for a change up thrown with near fastball arm speed at 72-74 mph. Overall Davenport is a physical athlete with a quick arm and a feel for three pitches.
