Power 25 Rankings Updated
April 8, 2019
The 2019 Louisiana high school season is winding down, as teams around the state are fighting for district titles. Although there is plenty of baseball left, some teams have certainly separated themselves from the pack, and there has been plenty of movement throughout the Power 25 Rankings all season.
As has been the case for the majority of the season, the very top of the list remains the same, as district 3-5A perennial powers Barbe HS (27-2) and Sam Houston HS (25-4) have proven to be the top teams in class 5A.
ED White HS (22-0), checks in at No. 3 in the updated list, as the Cardinals are the lone undefeated team remaining in the Power 25 rankings. The top five is rounded out with Ouachita Christian HS (21-5) and Brother Martin HS (19-5), coming in at Nos. 4 and 5 respectively.
Lakeshore HS (23-3) is a big riser this week, as the Titans have been dominating of late, jumping up to No. 8 in this week’s rankings. While Catholic(BR) HS (18-9) re-enters the rankings at No. 21, as the Bears look to have gotten back on track after an up and down start to the season.
Below is a look at the top ten of the updated Power 25 rankings. The complete list for PBR+, ProspectPLUS, and ScoutPLUS subscribers can be found HERE.
