Player Spotlight: Ethan Fowler

Zac Bottoms
Arkansas Scouting Director

Ethan Fowler 2019 Outfielder from Catholic High School in Little Rock is today’s player spotlight: Fowler had a solid freshman year for Catholic, as sophomore battled injuries and missed considerable time. This past summer for the Arkansas Prospect’s he was very productive and began to turn heads. He has had a productive off-season and has recently picked up at least 1 NCAA Division I offer. I look forward to seeing him in the spring as he will help lead the Rockets, to hopefully another State Tournament appearance.

Scouting Report

Fowler is a 5-foot-10 160-pound outfielder with an athletic frame and build. Defensively he works through the baseball with fluid footwork, and a normal exchange. He throws the ball from an H ¾ arm slot with a quick arm. He throws the ball accurately 78 mph from the outfield. Offensively he starts from an athletic stance with a slight load and stride. He attacks the baseball with a line drive swing, maintaining balance through extension. He produces exit velocities up to 82 mph. He runs a 4.34 home to 1st time. Overall Fowler is a solid athlete with refined skills, as he matures his raw tools should improve.
