PBR Spring Training Spotlight: '23 Nick Frers

Frers, a projectable 6-foot-2, 190-pound right-hander from the North Shore Twins is a good looking arm from Canada's Futures Games team this past summer. It’s a simple, easy delivery with lively, whippy arm action.

Frers offers a 5-pitch mix, starting with a high 80s fastball that has been up to 90.5 mph. He spins the curveball well at 68-70 mph and also flashes a changeup and slider. He's also shown useful cutter in the 82-84 range. The West Coast right-hander has athleticism in his game and is one of the best pitching prospects across the country still on the board.

2023 @NickFrers sat 85-88 at the Future Games this summer, topping out at 90.5 mph w/ feel for a good breaking ball.
