Generally speaking when you make it to the State Championship Game you are usually getting tasked to taking on one of the best teams in the State. It isn't often however that your opponent also happens to be one of your biggest rivals in a neighboring town. Thats what happened in the 4A State Championship this past spring with Blanchard taking on Tuttle in a front of a packed crowd in Shawnee. The game went back and forth with multiple turns lead changes and players stepping up in big moments. With the game tied at 5 heading to the bottom of the 7th it was Senior Brennan Milligan driving one into the left center field gap to score Brayson Carter to walk it off 6-5. Fist pumps, backflips, and a dogpile would ensue after one of the craziest and most exciting games of the year.
